Cranberry Sorbet
Cranberries add a nice tartness to this delicious sorbet, which is great for people who don't eat dairy.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups cranberries, fresh or frozen
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions:
Sugar and water should be mixed in a saucepan
Stir the mixture while it's on medium heat until the sugar is gone
Bring the cranberries to a boil after adding them to the pan
Turn down the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes, or until the cranberries pop
To cool down, take it off the heat and let it sit where it is
Put the cranberry mixture in a blender and blend it until it is smooth
Put the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to get rid of any solids
Add the lemon juice and stir
Put the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn it for as long as the manufacturer says to, which is usually between 25 and 30 minutes
Put the sorbet in a container that won't let air in and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until it's firm
