Big and Tasty Cheeseburger Hand Pies



These hand pies capture all the flavors of a big and tasty cheeseburger in a convenient, portable form. They make a great snack or meal for on-the-go, and they're perfect for parties or picnics.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced pickles
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 sheets refrigerated pie crust dough
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • Sesame seeds optional, for topping

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375F 190C

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks

Drain any excess fat

Add the diced onions to the cooked beef and cook for another 2-3 minutes until they soften

Stir in the diced tomatoes, diced pickles, ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and black pepper

Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the mixture to heat through

Roll out the pie crust dough and cut it into rounds or squares, depending on your preference and the size of your hand pies

Place a spoonful of the cheeseburger mixture onto one half of each dough piece, leaving a border around the edges

Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and press the edges together to seal

You can use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative touch

Beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the hand pies

Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired

Place the hand pies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pies are golden brown and crispy

Remove from the oven, let them cool slightly, and enjoy your delicious Big and Tasty Cheeseburger Hand Pies!
